So You Wanna Go Back To Egypt...?

Listen Later

So you wanna go back to Egypt…?

Elizabeth examines the response of the Israelites after God delivered them out of the hand of Pharaoh, brought them through the Red Sea and carried them to Himself.  Grumbling, complaining, corruption and an unwavering desire to return to the land of Egypt.  Why?  And how can we not follow their example.  Elizabeth talks about the importance of remembering and changing the way we think.  What we choose to set our minds on will determine how we experience life, and our victory over the trials that come our way.

    Song: Great Is Thy Faithfulness

Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father.

There is no shadow of turning with thee.

Thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not.

As thou hast been thou forever wilt be.

    Great is thy faithfulness!

    Great is thy faithfulness!

Morning by morning new mercies I see.

All I have needed thy hand hath provided.

Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,

sun, moon, and stars in their courses above,

join with all nature in manifold witness

to thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love. [Refrain]

    Great is thy faithfulness!

    Great is thy faithfulness!

Morning by morning new mercies I see.

All I have needed thy hand hath provided.

Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,

thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide,

    strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow;

blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside! [Refrain]

    Great is thy faithfulness!

    Great is thy faithfulness!

Morning by morning new mercies I see.

All I have needed thy hand hath provided.

Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
