The flight carrying the first UK Home Office’s group of asylum seekers to Rwanda is scheduled to depart from the UK tomorrow. In April 2022, the UK and Rwanda entered into a deal that will allow Rwanda to process applications of asylum seekers into the UK. According to the deal; asylum seekers will be transferred to Rwanda for processing before they can be granted residency into the UK.The deal has been criticised by the UN, amongst others, and several groups in the UK. Prince Charles is also reportedly against the agreement.
