Baseline Bit

Social Media Distractions

Listen Later

The average social media user spends 2.5hrs per day scrolling through all sorts; pictures, videos, tweets, reels, hashtags & the list is never exhaustive. One of the things I like about this episode is the fact that there is a spotlight through different times of human existence. From the stone age, bronze age, iron age through renaissance period up until where we find ourselves now. And this time is quite peculiar, the age of social media. It has its huge advantages which at the least is the fact that you can now interface with people real time & at the snap of the fingers. Sadly & like other periods, there are downsides. Matter of fact, there is a research that shows that there is direct correlation between depression & the amount of time spent on social media. This episode is about dealing with social media distractions, enjoy it!
