Have you noticed society's increasing dependence on social media? Although it has benefits in that people get to connect with each other and develop communities, it also has limitations and negative impacts. The power and pressure social media holds along with social data, inequitable accessibility, and the lack of media literacy are just a few factors that will be examined to understand why people should take precautions in regard to what they consume as it may be biased, inaccurate, and/or harmful for an individual's mental health.
