Michael Whitaker's first career of 25 years was in social psychology designing and operating treatment programs for violent juvenile offenders and sexually abused children. In that career he served on and chaired several national task forces and testified before the U. S. House of Representatives twice and once was an expert witness for the Supreme Court of California. --- His second and current career is as a fine-art and social documentary photographer. His work has been included in group and individual shows in Belize and France, and multiple times in six different states in the U.S.

He had Keynote speeches and workshop presentations at over one-hundred state, regional, national and international conferences. he Spoke and provided training in 46 of 50 U.S. states.

He has been featured in four journal articles, chapters in two books, three national television specials and two certificates of outstanding achievement.
