In conversation with Course Lead for the MA in Social work at the Tavistock & Portman NHS Trust and Anti Racism Lead - UK Focus for the British Association of Social Workers (BASW), Shantel Thomas shares her professional journey.

She has a vision for the Social Work Programme she leads and wants it to be relevant for todays social work practice.  Shantel also shares some of her work in the Anti Racism space and her aims for contributing to the societal changes we want to see.

Shantel is often invited to make keynote speeches, she writes regular blogs and articles and is also pursuing her PhD, an ethnographic study of anti racist leadership.
