When you walk for 900km across Spain on the Camino de Santiago, you meet a lot of people and listen to a lot of stories. Following the advice I received before leaving home, I decided to make the time and effort to stop and listen to people’s stories. Not only did I become a conduit for people to receive awareness and healing as they spoke, but I received many valuable life lessons and messages as I walked and listened. This is the power of listening, becoming a receptacle for what you need to hear, both for yourself and the speaker. You create a space in which people can be heard, understood and loved.
