Host Jeremy Hitchcock sits down with Susan Kilrain who was a naval aviator, astronaut, and now venture partner. Susan graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a master’s degree in aerospace engineering and was commissioned into the Navy as an aviator. In the Navy she flew F-14s, A-6s, and A-4s and became a test pilot. Later, Susan joined NASA as an astronaut and space shuttle pilot where she flew the STS-83 and the STS-94 and spent over 472 hours (or 19 days) in space. Currently, Susan is a venture partner with New North Ventures which focuses on accelerating innovation through the collaboration of the commercial and national security sectors.
