The doctrine of Justification by Faith, embodied in the Latin phrase Sola Fide could not be more clear in Ephesians 2:8, "For by grace you have been saved by faith..."

This was the defining material principle of the Protestant Reformation and it remains for all time the focus of true Christian faith.
