One of the most frequent critiques of sola scriptura made by catholic apologists is the problem of the protestant canon. Catholic apologists argue that without some sort of infallible authority outside of scripture, you cannot be certain of the scriptural authenticity of any given book of the bible, which in turn undermines the authority of scripture as a whole. In response to this criticism Protestant apologists have offered three main arguments intended to answer this objection, and in this video I hope to explain why I think these answers ultimately don’t hold up.
