Solaire of Astora is a cheerful knight in Dark Souls who voluntarily became undead to find his "very own sun". He heavily aids players with "jolly cooperation" as a Warrior of Sunlight. His immense strength comes purely from rigorous training, as his painted armor possesses no magical properties. Tragically, his quest can end in madness from a parasitic Sunlight Maggot, but players can save him so he ultimately links the First Flame.
