A Clean, Enjoyable Read

This book has no Civil War material since the war is over and done. There is nothing about reconstruction in it either. It continues with the tale of Jasper and his wife Clara and how she is so sad because she can't have a baby who lives. She loses four. Then an unexpected person shows up like a ghost from the past and more problems arise. There are some minor mistakes in this one, but the story and plot are good, though predictable. I figured out who murdered Jasper's mother easily. I think the set of books plot a good story, but the first and last have nothing about the war. No sex in this one, and I was glad. I do think the author has a good plot and story, and I did enjoy reading this one.

It took fifteen chapters to find out what the heck was going on and why they were having to travel to Missouri.....the only reason I kept reading was I had read the three companion books and I knew that

Ms Timms is an excellent writer and story teller, and once she started getting into the heart of this story it was going to good..!!!AND IT WAS....!!!!

I loved these books and did not want the set to end.. Love the time period and the story lines

Overall good.

Overall it was a good book but it kind of rambled on in spots and was a little slow. It made it a little hard to keep my attention
