There are more Lutherans in Tanzania than there are members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America?  You could fit the entire United States, India and several other countries into the continent of Africa with plenty of room to spare?  Yes and yes.  There is much to be learned about Africa and our mission projects there.  In this compelling and informative talk, Pastor Steve Herder of Ascension Lutheran Church in Thousand Oaks, CA, along with Ascension's Kathleen Rudrud and Pam Galster, share their experiences from their recent mission visit in Africa. They traveled to sites that have been assisted and accompanied by Ascension's annual Gifts of Hope fundraising drives of years past -- and future -- including the village of Burure, in Zimbabwe. From a clinic to schools to a hospital, here are stories of lives being made better.
