Following Jesus has never been about simply believing that He exists. The question is whether we are willing to actually follow Him—and follow Him on His terms.

In Luke 9, three men encounter Jesus. None of them reject Him. In fact, each one sounds sincere and willing to become a disciple. But Jesus looks beyond their words and exposes what is happening in their hearts. One is confronted with the cost of comfort. Another says, “Lord, let me first…” And the third wants to follow while still looking back.

In this message, Pastor Mike explores what Jesus teaches us about the true cost of discipleship: following Jesus costs more than our comfort, comes before everything, and demands an undivided heart.

Jesus isn’t asking to simply become another part of our lives. He calls us to surrender our whole lives to Him. And while that invitation costs us everything, the good news is that Jesus is worth everything He asks us to lay down.

So the question isn’t simply, “Do I believe in Jesus?”

It’s “Am I following Him?”

What if the best way to introduce someone to Jesus isn’t simply to tell them about Him, but to invite them to experience His goodness for themselves?

In John 1, Jesus gives a simple invitation: “Come and see.” Andrew accepts that invitation, spends time with Jesus, and walks away so changed that he immediately goes looking for his brother Peter. Then, when Jesus meets Peter, He doesn’t just see who Peter is in that moment—He sees who Peter is becoming.

Jeremiah 6 presents God’s people standing at a crossroads and calls them to stop, look, and ask for the ancient paths—the good way that leads back to Him. God’s truth has not changed, and His ways still offer the rest, stability, and peace that the world continually promises but cannot provide.

This message challenges us to stop pointing only at what is wrong with the culture and allow God to search our own hearts. Renewal in a nation begins with renewal among God’s people. Revival starts when we humble ourselves, return to Christ, and choose to walk faithfully in His ways.

Psalm 86 reminds us that beneath every burden, question, failure, and need is our greatest need: the mercy of God. David describes the Lord as good, ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy toward all who call upon Him.

This message points us to a mercy that brings forgiveness, has no limit, and is available to every person who turns to God. Our sin may be great and our failures may be many, but God’s mercy is greater—and He has not run out.

Romans 3 confronts us with a truth we cannot avoid: none of us is righteous, and no amount of good works, religion, regret, or self-punishment can make us right with a holy God. We cannot justify ourselves or earn the righteousness we need.

But God provided what we could never produce. Through faith in Jesus, guilty sinners are freely justified by grace because Christ took the judgment we deserved. This message calls us to stop striving to earn what Jesus has already purchased and to rest in the finished work of the cross.

In Acts 2, Peter stands before the crowd and boldly proclaims the gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit. His message is rooted in Scripture, centered on Jesus, and clear about the need for every person to respond.

This message reminds us that the same gospel that transformed 3,000 lives at Pentecost is still changing lives today. The Holy Spirit is still empowering ordinary believers, Jesus is still building His church, and every one of us must answer the same question: What will I do with Jesus?

Acts 2 marks the moment the waiting ended and the promise was fulfilled. The Holy Spirit came in power, filled ordinary believers, and gave them the boldness to proclaim Jesus to people from every nation. Pentecost was not merely a dramatic experience—it was the beginning of a Spirit-empowered mission.

This message reminds us that the Holy Spirit still fills, transforms, and sends believers today. His presence gives us boldness, produces Christlike character, and enables ordinary people to do what they could never accomplish in their own strength. The question is not simply whether we believe Pentecost happened, but whether we are living like the Holy Spirit truly lives within us.

The mission God has given us cannot be fulfilled through talent, effort, or determination alone. In John 16 and Acts 1, Jesus promises the Holy Spirit—the presence of God within us—to guide, strengthen, convict, and empower us to become His witnesses.

This message challenges us to stop carrying responsibilities God never intended us to carry alone. Our job is to remain faithful, speak the truth, and take the next step of obedience; the Holy Spirit supplies the power and transforms hearts. We do not need more pressure—we need greater dependence on Him.

In Acts 1, the disciples had received a promise and a mission, but before they could move forward, Jesus told them to wait. Their waiting was not empty or passive. It became a season of prayer, unity, preparation, and deeper trust in God.

This message reminds us that God is still working even when progress is hard to see. Waiting can strengthen our faith, prepare our hearts, and position us for what comes next. God is not late, and He has not forgotten you—His timing is precise, His promises are sure, and in His kingdom, waiting is never wasted.

Why do small disagreements sometimes become major conflicts? In James 4:1–3, we’re reminded that the battles around us often begin with battles within us. James challenges us to look past our circumstances and examine the desires, motives, and attitudes that shape our words and reactions.

In this message, we’ll discover how unchecked desires fuel conflict, why our motives matter—even in prayer—and how surrendering our hearts to God transforms the way we respond to others. When God changes what’s happening inside us, He begins to change what comes out of us. Real peace doesn’t start by winning arguments—it starts with a heart that is fully surrendered to Christ.
