Patrick Chaney's Solid State Entity alias has steadily carved a unique path in the hypnotic spaces intersecting techno, ambient, field recording, and meditation. Ostensibly using a club-friendly sonic palette, his intricate polyrhythmic percussion patterns become embodied mantras. On "Dystonia Mix", Chaney uses three turntables and several effects pedals to present a mixtape that is expansive in source material, timbres, and various "post-psychedelic" states.
