It's about how you deal with suffering, whether you choose the stagnant suffering of avoiding risk or the meaningful suffering that comes from accepting it.

Even though this movie came out before social media and reality TV, it's about how you deal with being you when 15-minute fame and public personas are the norm.

The Truman Show is ultimately about the freedom required to become yourself—a True-Man—and the cost of freedom that many can't bear to pay.
