I recently returned from Europe having spent a week and a half away with the Australians Men’s U17s National Football Team. The camp involved a heavy schedule of daily training and playing 3 friendly matches against Czech Republic, Morocco and Uzbekistan.

In this episode I take a look back at our recent tour and give you sneak peak of what is involved on a day-to-day basis while away on international duty. In addition I will share what a usual day will comprise of and the role and responsibilities that a head physiotherapist has while working with the national team. I will also share some of the monitoring tools, recovery strategies, and types of activities we require our players to be involved in, which we've found have been highly beneficial in the overall success of the playing group.

So, if you are someone who is interested in learning about what usually is involved when traveling away in a national team set up or are simply curious about what the responsibilities as a head physiotherapist are while traveling with a professional team, this episode will be a treat.
