Solutions for Cleaner Water and Responsible Government Spending

Listen Later

In this episode of "NO MORE CAREER POLITICIANS," I, Dr. Marcie Adkins, invite you to join me at the beautiful Indian River Lagoon in Florida, a place that holds my fondest childhood memories and a cause close to my heart. I'm passionate about addressing the environmental challenges facing this treasured waterway due to poor government policies. I'll share my actionable solutions, like renewing the half cent sales tax for restoration projects and proposing property tax incentives to encourage Floridians to manage their stormwater responsibly.

I'll also dive into my plans to reform the auto and homeowners insurance systems, aiming to ease the financial strain on responsible citizens. My goal is to create a cleaner, more cost-effective future and ensure a government that truly serves the people. Join me as I outline my vision for change, embracing leadership that prioritizes smart policies and accountability for the betterment of our state.

About Dr. Marcie Adkins:

Dr. Marcie Adkins is uniquely qualified to serve as Brevard County’s District 19 Senator.

She is a strong, conservative Christian who is willing to stand up and fight for the issues that matter most to all Floridians: Term limits, our Constitutional rights, law enforcement and family values.

The entire State of Florida needs legislators with strength in economics, another one of Dr. Adkins key attributes. Marcie earned a Ph.D. in Economics from UF, worked as a staff economist in Tallahassee for several years after college then ran her own Economic Consulting firm for 30 years. She will use her economic skills to minimize taxation, focus on our insurance crisis and reduce wasteful spending.

Dr. Adkins knows Brevard better than any other candidate: She moved to Brevard as a young child in 1967 and attended Ocean Breeze, Hoover and Mel High. Marcie left Brevard to attend college at the University of Florida and to work in State government for a few years. She then returned to Brevard in 1996, where she has owned a home with her husband for more than 30 years and they raised their son, Jacob.

Marcie’s economics expertise and the fact that she has called Brevard home since childhood gives Marcie unique insight into the local issues that matter most: the health of the Indian River lagoon, overdevelopment without adequate infrastructure, and our homeowners’ insurance crisis.
