Salem will host several upcoming events, including the Salem Poetry Festival from Feb. 27 to Mar. 1 and “Mardi Gras at the Masquerade,” a mystery fundraiser by the West Salem Rotary Club. Mayor Julie Hoy will deliver the 2025 State of the City Address on Mar. 5 at the Salem Convention Center. Additionally, the Oregon State Government AI Advisory Council approved an AI action plan focused on privacy, oversight, and workforce training.
