Venerable Thubten Chodron is an author, teacher, and the founder and abbess of Sravasti Abbey, the only Tibetan Buddhist training monastery for Western nuns and monks in the US. She graduated from UCLA, and did graduate work in education at USC. Ordained as a Tibetan Buddhist nun in 1977, she has studied extensively with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Tsenzhap Serkong Rinpoche, and Kyabje Zopa Rinpoche.
Ven. Chodron teaches worldwide and is known for her practical explanations of how to apply Buddhist teachings in daily life. She has published many books on Buddhist philosophy and meditation, and has co-authored a series of books with His Holiness the Dalai Lama—Buddhism: One Teacher, Many Traditions and Library of Wisdom and Compassion series.

On today’s episode I once again had the pleasure to speak with Tibetan Doctor Nashalla Gwyn Nyida.
Dr. Nashalla began the study of Tibetan Medicine in 1999 and treating in 2004. She is the director of the Nyinda Clinic of Tibetan Medicine & Holistic Healing Clinic in Boulder, Colorado.
This is my third in a series of interviews with Dr. Nashalla about the tibetan concept of the subtle body. In this episode we discuss the tikle or drops within the psycho-physical system.

Malcolm Smith has been a student of the Great Perfection teachings since 1992. His main Dzogchen teachers are Chogyal Namkhai Norbu, the late Kunzang Dechen Lingpa, and the late H.H. Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche. He is a veteran of a traditional three-year solitary Tibetan Buddhist retreat, a published translator of Tibetan Buddhist texts, and was awarded the Āchārya degree by the Sakya Institute in 2004.

Master Yap is a distinguished healer and martial artist from Malaysia, renowned for his expertise in traditional Chinese martial arts, particularly Wu Mei Quan and the Five Ancestors Fist.
He began his training under the guidance of his father, Grandmaster Yap Cheng Hai, and then Master Chee. In addition to his martial pursuits, Master Yap is a lineage holder and instructor of Yan Shou Gong, also known as the Art of Longevity.
Master Yap has delved deeply into the intricacies of Fascia and has worked to create a bridge from the traditional ways of teaching these arts and making them more accessible for a new generation of practitioners.

On today’s episode I had the pleasure to speak with Howard Wang. He has been exploring the theory and practice of Traditional Chinese Kung Fu through multiple disciplines since he was 14 years of age when he first learned the Eight Step Praying Mantis from his father, Grand Master Wang Chieh.
Howard has studied Traditional Chinese Martial Arts as well as both Eastern and Western spiritual philosophies. Combining the theory and practice of Traditional Chinese Martial Arts and spiritual insights he has summarized the essence of Chinese Kung Fu into “Prana Dynamics”, literally life energy in animation.

On today’s episode I once again had the pleasure to speak to Dr. Shin Lin.
Shin Lin, PhD, is a world-renowned expert on Tai Chi and a 12th generation heir of Chen Style Tai Chi designated by Grandmaster Chen Zheng-Lei of China’s Chen Family Village, where Tai Chi originated.
He is a longtime chair of biophysics at Johns Hopkins and professor of biological sciences and biomedical engineering at UCI, where his Laboratory for Mind-Body Signaling and Energy Research applies modern biophysical technologies to study the benefits of Tai Chi/Qigong on mind-body functions and body energy measured as heat, light and electricity. The result of his studies, are used to formulate models to explain the beneficial effects of these practices on health and healing at the cellular, and molecular levels.
