You’re looking well. A new baby in the family I hear, congrats.

Three weeks since my last post. Merely the blink of an eye for JMFLEN circa 2020, but an eternity for JMFLEN circa 2022. Perhaps each moment without me was like the slow motion fall of a cherished mug? Or perhaps it was like a deep breath in an expansive spring meadow. Either way, it is what it is and I’m back now.

Is that all art is? Pointing out that things are a bit like other things? The same trick played over and over again?

….Maybe. So what if it is? Would that be so bad? I love drawing connections between things. You can upend my whole world with a good metaphor.

So I thought I’d write a song embracing it, celebrating it.
