We'll have to see what's said at FOMC and whether it results in the significant crash many are suspecting will happen.  The theory is that whales are artificially pumping ETH just prior so that they can dump out.

This is a valid theory.

Doesn't mean you can't profit of it.  A lot of money potential is to be had with the recent pump.

Or, for some people, buying low is a chance to stack more of the gas tokens you need to buy into other projects later.

Either way, be smart and stay safe.  Invest only what you can afford to lose, and more important, take your profits out and stablecoin them so they're insulated from whatever.
