Somebody Needs You My Lord Jesus, Ep31

Listen Later

My sisters and brothers, today’s podcast brings to my thoughts a memory of one of my beloved aunts, bless her soul. This song, ‘Somebody Needs You, my Lord Jesus’, was composed during one of the sadist times in my aunt Yvette’s life. It was during these days she asked me to pray for my uncle Adrien, her husband, who was very sick. ‘Yes, of course aunt Yvette, I will pray for him’, I told her. Nevertheless, when I got off the phone with her, I was distraught, for I knew, she was really searching for a miracle, and, I had no idea what the Lord was asking of me, except, to comfort and to pray. Praying, much praying, is what I did, and I knew while this was comforting her, be that as it may, I also knew that I could not give to her what she desperately wanted. During that week my aunt’s beloved husband and my cousins’ beloved father, passed on from this life. Now when my own beloved mom passed from this earthly life, I could feel my dad’s heart break, bless his soul, and all that he went through, seemed so impossible for anyone to bear. Now this song, ‘Somebody needs You my Lord Jesus, was born through my prayers during the time of my aunt’s sufferings. “I’m praying to the Lord about someone’s eyes crying, the loneliness someone is feeling, the heartbreak, and I’m asking for the Lord to help her understand God’s plan, to take away her fears, to dry her tears and to give her a peaceful heart again. I’m praying to the Lord for her to be able to carry on, to guide her during the days and through the nights. I’m telling the Lord she knows her beloved husband is with Him, but that her loss is so hard for her to bear.” Now while this song was written for my beloved aunt in her time of need, it is prayed to the Lord, for every person who has suffered beloved loss in their lives. Amen.
