Something Good is Going to Happen to Me!
Devotional Scripture:
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13 NIV
Hope in God is intentional; today, let's hope on purpose. By making this declaration, we are hoping on purpose, so say it with faith that "something good is going to happen to me!" That's intentional hope and positioning oneself for the goodness of God.
Living in hope this holiday season takes intentionality because it can become so busy at this time of year that we forget the real purpose of Christmas; Christmas is all about hope in God, hope that he would send his Son in the person of Jesus, the little baby that would grow up to give hope to the entire universe.
Hope is so important to us, and that's why Jesus came; hope is important to us and God; thus, he sent Jesus to give us hope; Jesus is the hope of the world. He brings goodness through his hope. God is good and always looks for ways to
be good to us. Let us remind ourselves in this Christmas season to expect good things because God's desire for us is good.
Let's choose purpose to live with expectations of God's goodness and declare all this season-long, "Something good is going to happen to me!" That's hope; Jesus's birth was the birth of hope coming into the world. And this hope is ours through Jesus Christ.
"As for me, I will always hope!" (Psalm 71:14). Therefore, we declare with expectations and on purpose, "Something Good is Going To Happen To Me!"
