They call me an outcast like it's a bad thing.
An asshole by-product of a shitty upbringing, I don't care about anything except myself and my little sister. I will always protect whats mine.
With one year left on my hockey contract, I'm keeping my head down and my eyes on the goal.
A collision with her changes my entire existence.
Allison Grant
Never fall in love with a sports star. That's what my stepfather always said. He told me athletes are complicated and moody - that the higher their paycheck, the lower their morals.
As public relations for the New York Stingers, I know exactly what he means, but I cant seem to say no to a friendship with one beautiful, damaged man.
What started out as hate turned into something else. We tried to stay away, to keep our distance, but the pull was too strong.
Something forbidden turned into something so irresistible.

Really Good
Something So Irresistible is the third book in this series.
Itâs an enemy to friends to lovers story. Told in dual points of view.
This is Allison and Maxâs story.
This book is part of a series, and I would recommend reading them in order.
Itâs the continuing story of Parker (Something So Right) and her two children, Matthew (Something So Perfect) and Allison.
From the first time we met Aly, she has always wanted to be the princess. Her mother and stepfather did everything in their power to make that happen. The one thing they couldnât give her, her real life Prince Charming.
No one expected her Prince to come in the form of her brothers teammate and mortal enemy. Max. He has a bad reputation, and owns up to all his faults. Only having a few regrets. The biggest is the role he played in Matthewâs arrest.
Making Max, public enemy number one with Allisonâs family.
But her new job has her working side by side with all of the players including Max. And the more time they spend together, the more she starts to see the real Max. The sweet, kind thoughtful man he hides behind the gruff and grouchy exterior. They fight their attraction but sometimes you have to follow your heart instead of your head.
The characters were great. I wasnât sure how I was going to feel about Max after his antics from the previous book. But he grew on me. I ended up really liking him. The way he took care of Allison and stood up to her family.
I loved catching up with the past characters, seeing their families grow.
The only issue I had was the book could have used another trip through an editor or proofreader. There were misspelled words, and wording and phrases that were odd. I found myself having to re read some sentences to make sense of what was trying to be said.
