Accidentally ended up using the whole episode to talk about corals. In this episode, I unpack what they do, where they live and how they are impacted. I also highligh Joan Owens Murrell, a Black woman and Marine Biologist who helped discover a new genus of coral and 2 new species. Her work serves as an example of how to conduct and succeed in research with a disability/condition that negatively impacts your ability to collect data.
