Paul spoke of the great falling away from the faith inThessalonians.  Some could argue that he was referring to a "removal" of the believers via the rapture.  I have taught for years that his statement was a double referent, meaning that he was implying both events were somewhat simultaneous.  Now jump ahead to today's headlines coming out of the middle east and is it any wonder why people are giving up on faith due to fear?  Remember what Jesus said about fear...
