Not every opioid related overdose is an accident. Late stage opioid addiction will cause desperation. It is difficult to determine a person's true intent, but some percentage of overdose deaths are suicides. Listen in to this group as they discuss their thoughts about addiction related suicide.

Discussion Guide:

Did your addiction cause you to be suicidal?

Do you know of people who died of opioid overdose, and you suspect they intentionally died?

What percentage of opioid overdose deaths do you think are suicides?

Would you reach out for help, if you were suicidal?

What are the solutions to this desperation?

Do you have a higher purpose in life?
