This episode we get back to a good film in this franchise.  The previous two weren't necessarily canon, but that doesn't forgive how bad the films were.  This movie is a prequel to the movies that came before it, and kind of rubbed fans the wrong way due to the fact that the main character of the series doesn't make an appearance.  The three of us thoroughly enjoyed the film, however.
