Ecclesiastes, chapter 4, beginning at verse 9, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up… Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken." I pray most mornings with a group of about seven others. I've found that it's been a strength to me in my own personal time of prayer. When I'm down, they lift me along. When I'm up, I pull others forward with me. All in all, it makes one hour of prayer a very pleasurable and profitable experience. I thank God for friends who want to pray, thank God I don't have to stand alone. It's time to pray.
