2015 Pullus Pinot Grigio, Slovenia Rust in hue, this rose of Pinot Grigio is a fine easy summer sipper. Great with light fish and salads, it could also stand up to one of the seared fish dishes on the menu. The fruit is bright, the acidity moderate to high and the eye appeal amazing.
2014 San Salvatore Aglianico, Campania, Italy This is one of the many unusual selections across the list at the Pig, hailing from the lesser known but impressive Campania region. While there’s a touch of oak, it’s mostly bright red fruits shining through in this lighter bodied Aglianico wine.
