The USL season is over so we had an opportunity to interview NM Runners Head Coach Steve Famiglietta ahead of the new MASL season. We had a great time recording this back on December 1st and Fami gave us a lot of insight into not only the Runners season, but how they coped with COVID, talked about the youth system, and a ton of other topics.

The Runners ( @nmrunners ) kick off their season this weekend against Omaha Kings FC. Be sure to follow the Runners all season long across their social media accounts and here on the podcast. The matches this weekend will be streamed live on the Omaha Kings FC YouTube channel.

November 11, 2021: New Mexico United announce that Zach Prince will take over as the club's second ever Head Coach and Technical Director, taking over for the recently departed Troy Lesesne. After being the man behind the curtain for three years, the mantle has been passed and Prince's first ever off-season in charge begins in earnest.

So, life got in the way this week. We were late recording and late getting it out. This episode was recorded on Thursday, 11/11 with Jacob and Seth. Earl and Jerry got their brackets busted last week and Jacob tries to play catch-up.

On Friday, November 5, Head Coach Troy Lesesne announced that he will be leaving New Mexico United at the end of his contract. This caught the three of us completely off guard and sat down late Friday night to discuss what it means for Troy and the club going forward.

Despite a win over Real Monarchs at the weekend, United's season ended when El Paso lost to RGV. So for the first time in their history, United miss out on the playoffs and the long offseason begins.

New Mexico United squandered a chance to clinch the final Mountain Division playoff spot against RGV this past weekend. Now, they have to win on Saturday, and get help, or else their season is done. Not only will we be watching that on Saturday, we'll also be keeping an eye on the El Paso match against RGV.
