Transfiguration is often remembered for its blinding light and the celestial appearance of Moses and Elijah, but the true weight of the event lies in what happened next. While Jesus could have stayed in that moment of eternal glory, he chose instead to put the "human veil" back on and walk down the mountain toward Jerusalem. We examine the striking parallels between the Father’s endorsement at Jesus' baptism and this mountaintop revelation, moving from the majestic "eyewitness majesty" described by Peter to the practical, everyday call to love one another in our various vocations. By choosing to descend from the heights of Transfiguration, Jesus set his path toward the hill of Calvary, ensuring that his followers are not merely spectators of his glory, but redeemed children of God.
