Dr. Don Saliers, Emeritus of Theology and Worship at the Candler School of Theology explores how the Psalms address the deepest aspects of “life” before God. We will begin with the questions the Psalms ask – of us and our world, and of the mystery of God. Then we will examine how the Psalms continually move between the lamentable and the praiseworthy. We will conclude by focusing on specific Psalms that are both a “mirror and a lamp” to every generation of those who pray and sing these biblical poems. Presented on Baptism of the Lord Sunday, January 12, 2025.
Livestream and in-person worship service every Sunday morning
