Dr. Sonia Noel is a John Maxwell Trained Coach, Entrepreneur, Philanthropist, Mentor, Designer, Speaker and Best Selling Author. She is a passionate and industrious creative artist, with a fresh New World perspective on style and life. Dr. Noel is celebrating just over two decades in the fashion industry. She was formerly a high school teacher in her hometown, in Bartica. Back then she was regarded as a small-town girl, but one with a big dream who believed anything is possible. She is very proud of her Amerindian roots, and parlayed this indigenous South American creativity mixed with a cosmopolitan Caribbean flair, to craft a unique fashion aesthetic that became identifiaby trademarked as the Sonia Noel brand. Her determined spirit pushes her to drive creative industry enterprise forward and she has come an exemplar and mentor to young creatives, not only in Guyana but throughout the region. She has been presented with many awards locally, regionally and even internationally, for her dedication to entrepreneurship, her commitment to philanthropy and her engagement as a cultural ambassador, advancing creative ventures, promoting competitive-worthy fashion design and emboldening youth empowerment initiatives. Her designs are described as versatile, capable of being worn from the beach to the ballroom. Well-known celebrities have donned her designs, noteworthy of which are Maxi Priest, Leila Lopes - Miss Universe 2011 -Shevon Nieto and Michelle Williams, formerly of Destiny Child. Over the years, she has positioned her brand to be among the most sought-after trendsetting labels in the region. Her fashions have been featured in numerous publications in the Caribbean and around the world. She is the founder of many socio-cultural industry staples in Guyana - Guyana Fashion Week - expositions of fashion wares; Sonia Noel Foundation for Creative Arts - a youth empowerment agency for creative expression; Women in Business Expo - exhibitions featuring female creative entrepreneurs; Women Association for Sustainable Development - a women's empowerment body fostering socio-economic transformation; Inspire You - motivational workshops for personal and professional self-development. All these non-governmental organisations seek to foster social transformation and creative sector development. Through her motivational work, Sonia Noel went on to publish four (4) books within an amazing four-month time span. She followed this achievement by hosting book tours in Guyana, the Caribbean and through fourteen (14) cities in the United States. Having developed two motivational programmes, 'Confidence becomes you' and 'Living with Intention', she is now enthusiastic about creating online courses, with that content, through the 'Teachable' platform. She also pens a weekly column in the Guyana Chronicle and is currently working on publishing two books. A corollary of her ongoing  work, is her 'Love Revolution' campaign through schools, primarily, as well as through community groups. The vision of this uplifting crusade is to instill the concept of love to engender better-living mandates. Sonia Noel is a mother of two beautiful daughters Mariska and Shonta and two adorable grandchildren - Jaidyn and Peyton.
