The Welland Canal connects Lake Ontario to Lake Erie. It's the bypass that ships use to get around Niagara Falls. We have our microphones setup at Nickel Beach which is near the canal entrance on Lake Erie. It's a foggy morning and on this episode you can hear the faint hum of a ship that is being unloaded.
