The wilderness does not define the son. The one who finished it does.

This is part three of the Temptations of Sons series, and the teaching moves into the specific theology of what the wilderness is, what it was always meant to accomplish, and how Christ fulfilled what Israel could not. The argument is structured around four realities every believer carries: in him, with him, in us, and as him. These are not stages of spiritual growth but simultaneous truths about the believer's location in Christ. What you have received in him defines your address. What you share with him, his authority, inheritance, heritage, blessing, and glory, empowers everything you do through him. What he works in us through his Spirit is the character and mind of Christ being formed and expressed outward. The wilderness is not a place where the outcome is uncertain. Because Christ conquered it and declared it finished, the believer's testimony is already done, regardless of the storm, the pressure, or the surrounding circumstances.
