In this illuminating message “Sonship with Christ,” Rev. Dr. Stephen traces a journey from Son of God 1.0 (law and performance), to 2.0 (self-focused identity and positive thinking), and finally to 3.0—seeing Jesus in all of Scripture and discovering our true identity in Him.
Using the Emmaus road, “location, location, location,” and the word “tetelestai” (It is finished), he shows that our sin-debt is overpaid, our punishment fully served, and our battles already won. The believer’s fight now is the good fight of right believing—living from victory, not for victory, under a new covenant where God remembers our sins no more.
A closing inheritance story beautifully illustrates that whoever has the Son has everything: we have moved from servants to sons and heirs, joint-heirs with Christ, sharing all that belongs to the Father.
