Battlestate Games enrage their entire community with anti-consumer BS
They've delisted their Edge of Darkness edition that offered 'all future DLC' as a perk
They listed a new Edition called "The Unheard Edition"
This is a monumentally stupid name
It's $250 (100 more than EoD) and contains a lot of Pay to Win stuff (not just inventory space, but full blown P2W mechanics) as well as locks a PvE mode behind a paywall
Nikita (CEO) had one of his unhinged rants about the intitial response, before eventually walking it back
It's been a PR nightmare in general
SECOND HALF
Helldivers II devs/Sony force PC players to link PSN accounts in order to play
It's not clear if this is Sony pushing this or Arrowhead due to conflicting comms from Community Managers, although Arrowhead CEO seems to be pointing his finger at Sony
An Arrowhead CM (Spitz) states the dev team isn't happy with the change (via Discord)
The requirement was listed on Steam since prior to launch but was 'temporarily skippable' due to technical issues
Sony changed their own website the same day as the announcement stating all their games require PSN linking
FILLER
Nintendo issues 8500 DMCA takedowns on Github to purge Yuzu clones.
Shadow of the Erdtree is 'the first and last' DLC for Elden Ring, but there could be more Elden Ring in other forms (sequel?) in the future
Take-Two Interactive shutting down Roll7 (Rollerdrome and OlliOlli World) as well as Intercept Games (Kerbal Space Program 2) as part of lay-offs
Zelnick's (CEO) compensation rose from 16 million to 42 million last year.
Walmart (not for the first time) have put an 'advergame' in Roblox which includes being able to visit the Walmart website from a digital laptop and being able to buy products
Google Play Twitter posts embarrassingly inaccurate thread about Sonic (it's presumed to have been done by AI)
