Sonya Massey was shot in her home by a sheriff's deputy, Shawn Grayson. On this 4th episode of Angry Bitter Woman we will examine the sorted history of the KKK in law enforcement, and if this helped lead to the murder of Sonya.
By looking back at the rise of the KKK in the Midwest, and learning about the case of a woman named Madge Oberholtzer, who ultimatley took down the Grand Dragon; we can understand the misoogyny that also exists alongside its close cousin, racism.
To understand one, we can understand the other. Follow along as we learn of two women who have as much to teach us in death, as they did in their all too short lives.
