One of our family’s dogs had a fear of sidewalk sewer drains. She would freeze up any time we walked by one of them. It was so frustrating taking her for a walk. We just couldn’t convince her that there was nothing to be afraid of.
Sometimes interacting with people with different anxieties, fears, and insecurities can be frustrating, can’t it? Their fearful reactions in certain situations can seem illogical, even hurtful at times — especially when we don’t share the same fears. And yet, it’s hard to deny that what they’re experiencing in their minds and bodies is very real and often debilitating.

Join us in the spiritual gym as we explore what loving a fearful neighbour (and/or a loved one) might look like through a stage 4 lens of spirituality — because who said life and love is easy?
