Law and Disorder: Demystifying law school

Sophie Aboud's quest to end sexual violence and advance social justice

Listen Later

In our opening episode, we speak with Sophie Aboud (LLB (Hons) '21) about her experience volunteering in social justice while studying and practising law, her highlights of law school, and the importance for law students to set good boundaries.

Sophie is a volunteer inaugural board director for The STOP Campaign, a grassroots organisation dedicated to empowering young people to create and sustain positive sociocultural change regarding sex and sexual violence. In March 2023, Sophie was awarded the ACT Young Woman of the Year for her work leading the research and writing of The STOP Campaign’s Safe Response Toolkit, a resource for victim-survivors of sexual violence and their supporters in the ACT.
