Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz is compassionately referred to as the “Tenth Muse”, known by many as the Greatest Poet in Colonial Mexico, and now known to represent the first feminist writings in the New World. She even became a nun, actively avoiding married life, because it was the only place she could study! This nun created quite the splash in Golden Age Mexico, this is her story.
