Today I would like to share a phenomenal show that I fell in love with a while ago, just as I was discovering audio drama podcasts. Actually, this one is so good I used it as a measuring stick - this was the level of a truly great show.
Dirt - an Audio Drama follows Joseph Elo, a Seattle based tech celebrity who, one day, gets a mysterious letter in the mail from his grandfather - who passed away 30 years ago. This mystery leads Joseph on a hunt through the darkest corners of Washington state - and his family history.
It’s a fascinating slow burn mystery with truly immersive sound - Kris the creator goes all over hell's half acre to record location sound, and really take you to these incredible places in the Pacific Northwest.
There’s 3 full seasons to immerse yourself in, with the final Season 4 coming out very soon.
The show is brilliantly written, produced, and stars Kris Kaiyala.

Yes we're still between seasons you greedy little monkeys. So here is another show we know you will find hilarious.
Candy Claus, Private Eye is a half-hour audio comedy about Santa’s bastard daughter solving hardboiled Christmas crimes on the North Pole. Candy is a death-metal-loving, peppermint-schnapps-swilling P.I. trying to solve the North Pole’s first murder in 500 years without learning the true meaning of Christmas.
It's as funny as it sounds. And the acting and writing is razor sharp.
The show actually won Best Comedy at the LA Webfest this year.
Enjoy!

Today's featured episode is from a show we've admired for a while now.
Fawx & Stallion is a Victorian mystery-comedy fiction podcast about Hapton Fawx and James Stallion, the best detective team on Baker Street not named Holmes & Watson.
The dialogue is as funny as the premise, and the comedy is fast paced and razor sharp.
If you like the banter of shows like AbFab, Fawlty Towers or Blackadder this show is for you.
Fawx & Stallion is on all the podcast apps including this very one.
They are also fellow members of the Fable & Folly Network.

Today's featured episode is from a show that is completely different from Sorry About The Murder. This one isn’t a quaint story about cute characters. It’s actually pretty hardcore. It’s raw, brutally honest, insanely dark at times, but also laugh out loud funny, sometimes all at once.
It’s called Sick Man Talking. And that’s what it is. Brad Cartner is a man wracked with innumerable pains and aliments who has been trying to stay sane all these years by recording his thoughts. And now some good friends are helping him turn it into a podcast series.
Each episode is wildly different in subject and tone: In one he talks about his obsession with Elvis. Another is a series of adorable messages he left to his best friends kids over the years. Another is a live chronicle of a hospital ward. To be honest I still haven’t worked up the nerve to listen to that one.
It’s not for the faint of heart. But it’s maybe the most human podcast I’ve ever listened to.
In the episode we have for you today, Brad tells a darkly hilarious story about his first kidney stone, he talks about AI, and recalls a spiritual experience he had while being stretchered out of his apartment.
Sick Man Talking is available on all the podcast apps including this one.
Warning: Listener discretion is strongly advised.

Today we're featuring another fantastic show. This one is an all-time favourite.
Midnight Burger is a sci-fi comedy set in a perfectly ordinary diner except for the fact that it travels through time and space to avoid being devoured by the very universe it inhabits. At once hilarious, scary and beautiful, Midnight Burger is on almost every Best All-Time Podcast list, won tons of awards, and has been featured on BBC and The Guardian.
If you like Hitchiker's Guide, Doctor Who or Everything Everywhere All At Once, you will LOVE Midnight Burger.
Today we're featuring where it all began - Episode 1: The Transdimensional Haboob. Enjoy!

While we're making our next season, here is another show we think you'll enjoy.
Madame Magenta: Sonos Mystica is a mystery/comedy featuring powerful but over-it psychic Madame Magenta and her ever-so patient husband Bernard. Join them on their hilarious run-ins with spirits, fae, and annoying dead exes.
If you like the smart but silly banter of British sitcoms like Blackadder or AbFab, this show is for you.
Listen and subscribe to Madame Magenta: Sonos Mystica HERE.
Today we are featuring Chapter 1. (Madame Magenta's recommended cocktail is called The Gum Clinic: Four shots of tequila, two sticks of Juicy Fruit, and a Glacé cherry.)

This year the July 'Buck' Moon is today, July 21. So we're featuring a special standalone episode we made last year called The Ballad Of Buck Moon.
The Ballad Of Buck Moon was originally made for an anthology series called Tales For Howling At The Full Moon. (there are some incredibly good one-off stories in that show, so please check it out.)
Drew wrote and voiced the main storyteller - but it's brought to life by Jeff Lurie's beautiful guitar and gorgeous singing as our Balladeer.
An early draft of Sorry About The Murder had already been written when we did The Ballad Of Buck Moon. But this is where we really honed that relationship between a homespun narrator and a simple guitar, which greatly informed our subsequent drafts and production of Murder.
We hope you enjoy this cheeky episode while you enjoy the Buck Moon tonight.
Recording: Selina Fiorini
Mix: Adam Ive
Original Music & Balladeer: Jeff Lurie
Writer & Narrator: Drew Frohmann
Art: Rob Collinet
Production: Dana Gadsden
Special Thanks to Steve Gadsden and Hannah Radcliff
