To behold something, you must fix your eyes upon it, give it all your attention, and observe it with care...

"One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple."

- Psalm 27:4

The beauty of the Lord is not something to be glimpsed, noted only in passing, or seen as commonplace. We are to behold God's beauty with delight and pleasure, looking past the distractions of the world to focus on the beauty of what Christ has done for us!
