What if the thing holding you back isn’t something you’re consciously choosing?
In this episode of Soul Bloom, Amina Rreshketa sits down with hypnotherapist, coach and Reiki teacher Michelle K. Rose to explore the subconscious beliefs, fears and patterns that can shape our lives without us even realizing it.
Michelle explains how our conscious desires can sometimes conflict with beliefs buried beneath the surface. You may consciously want success, confidence or change, while your subconscious is still operating from a belief that you aren’t worthy, capable or safe. The result can show up as procrastination, perfectionism, inconsistency or self-sabotage.
Together, Amina and Michelle demystify hypnotherapy and what actually happens during hypnosis, including why it’s very different from the “mind control” often portrayed in movies. Michelle explains how accessing a deeply relaxed, focused state can help uncover the roots of limiting patterns and begin replacing them with more empowering beliefs.
Michelle also shares the personal experience that changed the direction of her life. After a serious car accident in 2005 left her dealing with chronic pain, she discovered Reiki, eventually leading her toward a career that combines hypnotherapy, coaching, spirituality and energy work.
The conversation also explores fear of failure, judgment and even success, why confidence is something we build through action rather than something we simply have, and the importance of recognizing that our worth isn’t determined by our accomplishments or how others perceive us.
For Michelle, letting your soul bloom means trusting your heart, listening to your intuition and finding the courage to move forward even when fear is still present. Sometimes growth also means compassionately releasing the version of yourself you’ve outgrown so something new can emerge.
