Do you feel burned out trying to keep other people happy?
Do you let others walk all over you because you’re afraid to stand up for yourself?
Often we don’t say no to people because we’re afraid it might offend them or create tension in a relationship. We’re taught to be kind to others, but we ultimately need to find the balance between being kind and being firm. Otherwise, we give others permission to take advantage of us.
In this episode, I will discuss ways to set healthy boundaries with people around you!
In this episode, we will learn how to reframe our negative emotions and turn them into positive ones which will help us to connect to Allah SWT even more!
BismiLLAHir Rahmani Raheem
In this podcast, I discuss the importance of removing the focus on ourselves so that we can unleash our potential in business and in serving others.
I talk about how constantly thinking about yourself and obsessing over whether ‘you’ are good enough or not and whether you are worthy enough or not doesn’t help you in your business and why you need to remove that burden from your shoulders in order to thrive.
I also delve deeper into what you should obsess over and focus on instead if you want to thrive and grow your business legacy for the sake of ALLAH.
Tune in to find out more….
Boundaries can literally make or break our business or our life.
We can shift between the extremes of giving all our time to our business and at the expense of our spiritual values, our spouses, our children and our community duties OR we can be that person who keeps saying ‘Yes’ to everything else at the expense of our business.
None of these situations are ideal.
As spiritual Muslimah entrepreneurs, we want to find that sweet balance between our business, our family, our spirituality and all our other obligations that allows us to use our gifts to serve others whilst maintaining our other roles and responsibilities.
In this episode I discuss the root cause of boundaries being compromised and how to fix it to achieve balance and why it is important for us to thrive both in life and in business.

Oh I’ve been there sis, in that place where the reason why you tell yourself the reason why my business isn’t working is because..
My husband isn’t supporting me
My toddler doesn’t let me do any work
I have too many responsibilities
My family is too big and there’s too much to do
I have so much housework to do
I just don’t have the time
But then there comes a point when you eventually realise that none of these things are the the true enemy of your business.
And that actually the enemy within yourself is bigger and then you realise that it’s actually those unhealed parts of you and that inner critic fed and nurtured by your greatest enemy that stop you from showing up in your business.
And as soon as you identify that greatest enemy, you immediately have the tools to fight them, to beat them and to win in life and in business.
Because as you know, fighting a battle against an unidentified hidden enemy is impossible. However, once you know and find the enemy the battle though still hard becomes much easier to win.
Listen in, so you know who the enemy is and how to fight them!
All praise is to ALLAH and the best of peace and blessings upon HIS Messenger.
Welcome sisters to the Soulpreneur Life Podcast by Dr. Maryam Akram for high achieving Muslimah professionals looking to connect deeply with their LORD and use that connection to unleash their potential in life and business creating a legacy that will benefit them in this world and the next.
As per the tradition of the scholars, I start off my podcast by discussing my intention for this podcast and also beckon you to reflect upon your intention in your business.
How can you align your business with your spiritual values?
How can you make it part of your spiritual purpose?
How can your business become an act of worship that not only draws you closer to ALLAH but also brings you wealth in this world?
How amazing is it that as Muslims we have the best of both worlds available to us from our Rabb?
And what best way to ask HIM for success in both, then to ask HIM, our LORD by the Quranic dua:
Rabbana aatina fid dunya hasana wa fil aakhirati hasana wa qina adhaban naar.
Oh our LORD grant us good in this world and good in the next world and save us from the punishment of hell.
Ameen ya Rabb.
As you listen to this episode make note of the epiphanies and aha moments that come to you and the insights that ALLAH opens up for you and then share them in the comments inshaALLAH. I look forward to reading them.
Lastly, help me in my mission to reach a million sisters with my message and spread the khayr by sharing this episode on your social media and inviting your friends and family to listen in. JazakumuLLAHu khairan.
