"Who hears
the tears of nightfall?"
they fall silent
for so many,
all who sleep the
blessed dreams of have,
and never face the
dampened dawns...
of those who
don't love any.
But tears of nightfall
weigh upon,
the shoulders
of the lonely,
their eyes glued wide,
they take in stride,
the endless blues deluge.
with little subterfuge.
Chorus-
The tears of nightfall
come to call
to wash away the pain,
But they miss
tomorrow's sorrows
that tenaciously remain,
clinging to the chambers
of one's heart till all
hope is submersed,
and the overflow is
night fall's tears,
as it drains from
souls that burst
All who chase to find
their kings and queens,
in the echoed hell
of empty dreams,
a vast expanse
of quilted seams,
half vacant
where once lay....
.....The loves they lost,
from rumpled sheets,
just pillows cold.
they're forced to greet,
in fetal curls,
they strive to meet,
some comfort zone
denied by sleep,
until the yawning day
Nightfall's tears
enhance the drums
of single heartbeats,
filled with glum,
accompanied by
the ho's and hum's,
of hell's to which
we all will come.
