“Prana is the most important element in the body. When the prana leaves the body, it becomes worth only a few pennies,” my Baba explained.  Prana is what makes your body a living body. Prana makes your heart beat. It makes your eyes able to see. It makes your breath move. 

It’s interesting that we use yogic breathing to move your prana, yet it is the prana that makes your breath move. Your breath is at a crossroads, a place where you can use the physical to affect the subtle. – Gurudevi Nirmalananda
