The church in America is finding Gospel ministry to be a challenging in this somewhat unique time.  Mike Owens, the leader of the Evangelism Team at Wellspring EFC, joins Clint today to discuss the Gospel and how to think about Gospel-driven ministry to the lost around us, especially when they are, by necessity, much further away from us and yet also perhaps a bit closer to us than normal.

Many have died and others will continue to contract the coronavirus and die.  That begs a question that Clint is back to answer: "How can the coronavirus coexist with the love of God?"  Jesus is well aware of the natural fear of death humans experience and points to himself as the LIFE which answers that question of death.  He does that using a semi-obscure text in the Old Testament.  Check it out.

For all the world's massive might, it has been brought very low by a tiny virus.  In the same way, every man, woman, or child who has ever lived will one day have to reckon with someone who was born in a nowhere town to a nobody carpenter's family, and who was killed in a shameful, demeaning way.  There is an important irony here for us to consider!  Psalm 2 puts this irony on display and encourages us to trust in Almighty God who always brings his purposes to pass, thwarting the vain efforts of the nations.
